Robotics is a highly intriguing and widely popular technological field worldwide. Due to its immense appeal, many individuals aspire to grasp the concepts of Robotics to enhance their skills.
Therefore, I have decided to embark on the development of a free robotics blog series. I hold an engineering degree and currently work as an engineer in Sri Lanka. Additionally, I am an entrepreneur in the field of Robotics.
First and foremost, I aim to gain a clear understanding of the following topics before commencing our journey:

What is the Robotics
According to Wikipedia:
Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of computer science and engineering. It encompasses the design, construction, operation, and utilization of robots. The primary objective of robotics is to create machines capable of aiding and assisting humans. Robotics amalgamates various fields, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information engineering, mechatronics, electronics, bioengineering, computer engineering, control engineering, software engineering, mathematics, and more.
According to the above description, Robotics is indeed a broad technical field, and to comprehend it fully, one needs to grasp a multitude of theories and concepts pertaining to each discipline.
But, in this blog series, we will start from the basics and you don't need to worry about that,

As humans, we're always looking for ways to make our daily tasks easier, and we're naturally curious about exploring new environments, like outer space and the deep sea. Robotics plays a crucial role in helping us understand how things work in these places.
That's why we want to learn about robotics. 😃
What are the basic pieces of knowledge and subfields of Robotics?
If we want to dive into robotics, we've got to start with the basics. Here's what we need to know:
- Mechanical Design Knowledge: This means understanding how to build the physical parts of a robot. Think of it like putting together a cool LEGO set, but on a more technical level.
- Mathematical Modeling Knowledge: This is like using math to make a blueprint for how our robot should behave. It's like creating a set of instructions for the robot's brain.
- Programming Knowledge: Now, this is where we make the robot's brain come to life! We write code to tell the robot what to do and how to do it.
- Electronic and Electrical Engineering knowledge: This means you should know how to connect and set up the power and other electronic gadgets for your robot.
Mechanical Design Knowlege
As a robotic engineer, you'll work with a team to create the physical parts of robots, like the body and arms. But if you dream of making your very own robot someday, you've got to know how to design these parts yourself. That's where mechanical design comes in handy! It's like the secret sauce for building your own cool robots.
Mathematical Modeling knowledgeAll robots have their own special way of doing things, and we use math to figure out how they work. It's like creating a special recipe just for your robot. But to make sure our robot works super well, we also have to fine-tune that recipe using some advanced math tricks. So, as robot engineers, we need to have a good grasp of math to make our robots run smoothly.
Imagine you've built a cool robot from scratch, with all its mechanical parts in place. But now, it's like having a super-smart pet - you need to teach it what to do! That's where programming languages come into play. They're like the special language we use to tell the robot what to do.
Electronic and Electrical Engineering Knowledge
Just like humans have a nervous system to sense things around us, robots need their own "nerve system" to understand their environment. That's why we need to learn about electronic and electrical engineering – it's like teaching robots how to feel and sense the world!
